Changes
Changes. Changes are something humans do not like. Something humans despise. We all just want things to remain the same. We are resistant to changes.
SOT has started and many changes has occurred in my life. Such as sleeping early, waking up early or managing my time. But these changes are great!
My time in SOT has been so blessed so far. In just 2 weeks, my life has been challenged and changed for the better. Truly SOT can change one's life, for the better.
Thank You for the privilege to be in SOT. Thank You Lord. =)

Experiences

SOT Is Starting!
Woah! SOT is starting in about 8 hours time and I can't sleep! Really really can't sleep...what should I do..hmmm. Feeling so excited for this moment, been waiting to enter into SOT for 2 over years already due to army. I really believe a breakthrough is just waiting for me round the corner. Revival!

Heartbroken
Just finished cell group meeting and it was fantastic with a great presence of God. Had a wonderful dessert party, done up by Alicia, Ee Rong and Zech! Really thankful for their effort, they went about going all these things after work and yet didn't complain at all. =)
After that I went home and saw snippets of a show on channel 8. It's talking about an old lady, with a child with mental disorder. The child is about 30+ and her husband just passed away. She mentioned her biggest concern is her son, after her husband has passed away. It really broke my heart, because not only the mum cannot retire comfortably, yet she got to support her son. The love and concern for her son was so great, that you could even feel it as you watch it.
Yes, this world is a broken down world. People are dying, people are suffering. And people are born with natural defects. People who are born without limbs, without eyes and mental disorder. But God allowed all these because it reminds the rest of us, that we must never stop loving people. We must be contented with who we are and how God has made us, saying we are blessed.
We must never stop loving people.
We must never stop sharing the gospel.
We must never give up.
We must never lose sight of our purpose and destiny.
We must never despise ourselves and be depressed.
We must never be proud for what we have achieved.
We must never lose our first love for the One who loved us first.

Leadership and Strong Spiritual Life
Many people fail to grasp this concept. Leadership and strong spiritual life comes hand in hand. You can't have leadership and yet have no strong spiritual life. Likewise, you can't have strong spiritual life without leadership. They come hand in hand, like in a marriage, a communion.
1) Leadership without Strong Spiritual Life
Many people nowadays desire greater position, greater influence and greater p0wer. Be it in their companies, their studies or in church, people are hungering for many power. They long for the recognition and fame that comes along with it. All I can say is, these people will not stay there in high places for long.
Let's take things closer to our hearts, being a cell group leader. Very often you might have heard these phrases like, "I want to be a cell group leader." or "I want to be a usher I/C". Yes, it is very good to desire these positions as stated in the bible, but one must be connected to God in the very first place. In the ten commandments, God listed that you shall have no other gods besides Him. In the new convenant, Jesus stated once again that you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
After all, in order for God to use you, you need to get closer to God! Only through this, will your life be changed and so that He can use you. My goodness!! How can people nowadays fail to grasp this concept? Is it so hard to understand this point? As you get closer to Him, He will will draw near to you. As this happens, you will begin the surrender all that you have and learn humility from Him, the greatest Servant of all.
2) Strong Spiritual Life without Leadership
It is totally rubbish when I hear people talk about having a great spiritual walk with God when they do not desire to rise up and be counted for. That is boulogne! The closer you walk with God, the more you will want to lay down your life for His cause. God has called us to do the Great Commission, not the Great Omission. We are called to made disciples of this world. And very often, this will lead us to higher position of authority and power.
As you start to lay down your life, God will start to give you dreams and visions as stated in the bible. Remember that men without vision are dead! Dead as a fish on land.
Then why do still people still say that they have great spiritual life and yet not serve? Reason is simple. They do not desire more of God, they are satisfied with where they are. Let us be like Moses, Joseph, Jacob and David, men after God's heart. People who are not satisfied with what they have. People who desire to seek the face of God.

When this happens, not only will they not encounter God in a stronger manner, but instead they will backslide. They simply do not have FAITH.
FAITH stands for:
Forsaking
All
I
Trust in
Him
Today, will you trust God to change you, mould you, and transform you. Challenges may come. Storms may come. Fears may come. But surrender all of these, in exchange of all of Him.
Conclusion
At this moment, will you make a decision to surrender all that you have, in exchange of all of Him. Will you be like Aaron, and say today I will stand between the living and the dead.

Back to School!
Today is my first day in school after 3 years! Woohoo....it was so hard to focus on the lesson and absorb all the things being taught. At least I managed to see one of my polytechnic friend in the lecture hall, if not I will be like so lonely. Pray for God's anointing and wisdom to come upon me! So that I can bear a good testimony in my studies, work, family, church, SOT (bible school) and friends.
I will overcome obstacles with God's strength. What people say it can't be done, I will prove them wrong. Because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Amen!
