Offering
Hmm thought of putting up the offering messenges I have sharing with Cell Group. Hopefully it will bless you as well. Feel free to use them but let me know before using them? =)
Big and Small
John 21:5-6, 8-12
The background of these verses based on when Jesus was resurrected from the death and appeared to the disciples for the second time. From these few verses, we can know 2 things about God. 1) Nothing is too big for God. 2) Nothing is too small for God to notice.
1) Nothing is too big for God.
When Jesus asked the disciples to cast their nets out, He didn't ask for a small miracle to happen. When the disciples dragged out the net, there were 153 fishes in all! And they were not some ikan bilis, there were real big fishes in which you can sell in the market! When God moves in your life, He does not just give you the necessaries, but He will give you exceedingly abundantly all that you could ask for.
2) Nothing is too small for God to notice.
When Jesus was resurrected from the death, He did not tell the disciples to preach the gospel or be faithful or in other matters. Instead He said, "Come and eat breakfast." (verse 12). Do not think that nothing is too small for God to bother. In fact, every tear you drop, every hurt or even paper cuts, God knows them all. God is not blind. He knows what kind of situation you are in and what you are going through. He is concerned about your everything, including your hunger! The reason is because, God loves you, each and every one of you.
Today, let me encourage you to give an offering that will please God. Do not think that when you give an offer, God's eye will miss this place. Instead He is looking with gladness at this very moment. And nothing is too great for God, because He is faithful and just!
